#1 Breathable waders I have ever used!!!
I have tried them all and these are the best breathable waterfowl waders I have used. Super lightweight but warm enough for most situations. Material dries out super fast but isn't so thin that it tears easily. I had these waders in different environments over the past two seasons with over 100 hunts and zero issues with them. I know folks who have other $1000 brands who have already experienced failures. These are an excellent choice!!!

Butt Patches
What's the purpose of the tiny knee patches and the two on the the seat? Please don't say abrasion resistance because there isnt enough there... what happened to the original LLB snap buckles?
Im gonna look elsewhere I think

OK, but not great anymore
I have used your waders for years because they are the only ones tall enough for me, so thank you for that.
But you've really ruined a couple of the best things about them. I hunt A LOT and I wear waders virtually every day for 4 months so my review isn't based on a small interaction with your product.
With this new version: The knee patches are WAY too small. They need to be at least 4 times bigger to be worth anything. Also, the butt patch/s are silly. It really is useful to have double thickness and better abrasion resistance in the butt area and now these patches are likely to do more harm than good by focusing the wear area to the edges of the silly patches. The suspenders are WAY worse now. The little push button clasps and the neoprene yoke was one of the MOST best things about your old waders. Not only was it streamlined but also comfortable. Now you have this giant buckle in your shoulder to either get your gun hung up on or grind into your shoulder while shooting. I will be taking the yoke off an old pair of waders and re-using it on these new ones.
It seems like maybe the area where the fabric meets the boot is better reinforced now. That is the are that failed first on EVERY SINGLE pair of your waders I've had previously so hopefully that will be better.
Finally, the previous waist belt that had a small amount of elastic in it was genius. This new static one is way worse. I recommend going back to the other type.

Good waders, no leaks, tough
Nice waders. Boots fit just right for my shoe size. Comfortable. Only the boots are insulated, which is fine. I always wear thick pants or jeans under them regularly and in really cold weather I can wear thermal underwear too. They do not leak and appear very tough. Pricy, but a great deal - you get what you pay for with these.

Thanks LLB these waders are great!
I searched for a long time. I looked at close detail lots of competitors waders and how they were designed. I hunt in Southern California, neoprene is just too much for our climate. I think these are perfect for weather 32 degrees and warmer. These have a great fit and a cozy pocket for your hands. In my opinion they are extremely well made.

So Far, So Good
All Good after first hunt. Fit and comfort from boot to chest area is just right for a regular fit individual and adjustable velcro waist bands eliminate the need for an additional belt. Many storage features including the waterproof, removable phone carrier.

Apex Waders
High quality I like the little features such as the shell holder, cell phone holder, lined hand warmer pockets, knee pads, pull cords to tighten the excess material, and waist belt. Very well thoughtful out design. I’m 5’7” got a size 10 large fits great with room to layer for the late season boots fit good with room. Suspenders don’t interfere with shooting either. Just have see if they last now.

Decent. High quality.
I wish the suspenders were longer. I let them out all the way and they were still tight but they did loosen up after 3 wearings and are now comfortable. I wish the whole system was a little more flexible - but they work. I like the pockets, the camo pattern, and the boots are “comfortable enough” for 1-2 hours of walking. They’re not phenomenal but not awful either. Everything appears to be high quality. They come with a bag and a little cleaning brush. The boots shed mud easily.

Great waders!
Pricey but well worth it. I wore these waders for several late season waterfowl hunts and they kept me warm and dry. Love the attached belt and spacious pockets.

Great hunting waderz
Bought it a few weeks back. So far so good. Little pocket by chest to put hands, shell holder, good size pockets, everything is conveniently located. Im shorter, so the straps are perfect length for me. Love that they are breatheable, because I sweat a lot.

Good Early Goose Waders
Good for early season, but not later season. There is no insulation in the waders they are thin and you would need to wear significant layers underneath to stay warm in a blind without heat.

Very Comfortable & Great Fit
I bought these after struggling to find waders that fit me as a short person. Every other brand I tried had way too much excess material that bunched up and got in the way. These waders fit perfectly and any excess material tends to spread out so as to not be restrictive. I wear between a size 8-9 shoe depending on the brand/fit. I went with the 9's and I'm very glad I did as they fit just right with heavy socks on, so size up if you're in between.
I hunted with these for the first time this weekend and was super impressed with the comfort level & maneuverability in the water. However, these are definitely not the warmest waders as they are very thin with no insulation at all. It was about 30 degrees outside with a 15 MPH wind at our backs in a makeshift blind and my legs got pretty cold after a few hours. I wore super warm long johns and jeans underneath that kept me somewhat insulated. Had I been standing in the cold water, I'm not sure how long I would've lasted.
Aside from the potential warmth issue, these are excellent waders and I highly recommend them.

Great in River
I needed waders for hunting ducks in Rio Grande - waste deep water with current. The Apex waders are terrific hiking to and from river up to half a mile through brush and the.river with with sandbars and channels.

nice choice
These waders are comfortable and sized well. The strap system is a bit different from the older version and took some time to get used to. The knee padding seems a good idea for the occasional need to kneel.

The fit is tight
I had been looking for a replacement for my lightweight waders for waterfowling, and after researching many sites and brands, I decided to take a chance on these, and I used them on a three day upper prairies duck hunt.
I am not thin, but I am not huge, and the upper body is quite snug. Even with the XL size, it is almost too tight. I have to slowly work the waders up my body to get them on. I also agree with other reviews that the shoulder straps are way too short. They barely fit me with a wader pull over jacket on underneath, and are as extended as far as they can go. They would be too tight for a taller person.
The built in wader belt is a plus, and the boot size and comfort are right on. Expand the body some and lengthen the shoulder straps, and these waders would be 5 star perfect.

Satisfied with waders
I was pleasantly surprised with the comfortable fit of the waders. They are form fitting, and do not bind in any areas. The material is lighter than other breathable waders I have owner. Nice for long walks to the blind. The size 12 boots are too snug with heavy socks, but fine with lighter socks. I have not been in the water with them yet as they were a preseason purchase. I look forward to hunting in them this fall.

Not true to size
Ordered these after returning the previous model. The shoulder straps kept tearing at the stitches. I like the upgrades on the shoulder straps. The solid one piece webbing won't tear like the previous design. I originally ordered the XL 12, but they were too small. Exchanged for XXL 12 and I don't see any noticeable difference in fit. Could have used some extra room in the torso length too. The crotch is riding high even when standing. Sitting might be a challenge. Will look elsewhere when these start to fail. If it's anything like my previous pairs, I give it two years.

Straps too short for taller guys
I'm not a sasquatch, just 6'2 and 220lbs. The straps are several inches too short. Like another reviewer said, even with the straps maxed out it pulls on the crotch. It's not uncomfortable, but eventually the crotch seam will burst from sitting down. The boot seam was also haphazardly put together as you can see the glue tape pulling off the wader fabric already. Tried the L and XL without much difference. Giving 2 stars, because customer service is always top notch and the boots were impressively snug.

good waders
So far so good. I ordered a large with size 10 boot. Boot size is true. The body will fit a much larger size man.

Perfect fit, comfortable, warm!
Took a chance when these were 20%, and after getting them yesterday and putting them to use for an early hunt this morning I am a true believer of breathable waders. Temps were in the 20's, and with a good baselayer, wool socks and sweatpants I stayed comfortably warm. I hunt from an aquapod (kayak), so I paddle in to my hunts and by the time I'm done setting up I'm usually sweaty in neoprenes which ends up making me damp and cold. These waders completely solved that problem. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. The boot fit is true to size - I wear size 11 (medium) shoe and the 11 fit great. At 6' I ordered the Large size, and still had some room at the crotch inseam, which is a plus because often times this is where waders will ride up if you're a taller guy. Had room to comfortably layer a sweatshirt, vest and softshell jacket under the waders. I didn't have the fit issues other reviewers had - elastic adjustments snug in the top of the waders around the chest which is great for keeping you warm and to get rid of/manage the little bit of bagginess that is inevitable with waders. Everyone is unique and it's hard to make a product that fits everyone perfect, but for me at 6' 175 these are darn near perfect. The new belt adjustment system is a fantastic design, simple and reliable. The new shoulder straps are narrow and run more center to the body which is great for getting a clean mount without hitting the strap buckles. 10/10 I would buy again. As someone that walks or paddles in to almost exclusively public land spots, I'm hoping these last a long time - only time will tell - but they are built solidly and seem to be crafted for the long haul. Comes with a repair kit that seems fairly simple to repair cuts and leaks.

Pretty close, but still work to be done
I've had LL Bean breathable waders for 5+ years now. They discontinued the ones I've had, so this was the new option to replace those. First off, LLB customer service, ordering, shipping, etc are all top notch. It's a great brand with a longstanding tradition. That said...
Pros:
+ breathable wader material feels the same as before, which is a good thing
+ new shotgun shell pockets are a welcome addition
+ camo colored boots are a nice touch in this version
+ ample chest pockets and zippered compartments
+ boots fit true to size for me
+ built in waist belt is genius and much appreciated, although ends up being a touch too high for me
Cons:
- upper portion sizing is not great; had to get large to go along with my 10 size boots; I'm not that tall and with straps fully extended it still pulls on my crotch; there is probably 6" extra room in the legs and the top is a tad too short
- missing the dedicated cell phone chest pocket from last version
- because legs are so long, the knee pads are actually near my shins
- not sure how "generous" this fit is for heavy clothes; feels like it'll be tight with jacket on but TBD
- I really miss the shoulder straps from previous version; they tried to improve but made way worse; the plastic pieces for changing length of straps is pretty bulky and sit exactly where my gun mount should be; this is going to be a serious issue for me when waterfowl hunting

Apex boot foot waders
My normal shoe size ranges 12 - 13 and I ordered an XL which defaults to size 12 boot. Overall I was very pleased with quality and fit of waders except that boots were too small. I called and discussed with LLB and consultant advised that 13 boot is only available in XXL which would have bee too large in body. Therefore I returned for refund. Had size 13 boot been available in XL I would have exchanged.
