Great for sloppy drinkers

Love these waterhogs
This is my fifth waterhog purchase. Attractive and functional. At each door I have a mat on the outside, then the boot mat on the inside to catch dirt and mud. This one keeps the area clean around my pups water and food bowls.

Great product!
Perfect mat for my cat bowls. Looking for mat that hid his messy habits of flinging kibble and water. It absorbs water so I am not having to clean it constantly. No “cute” kitty designs, just a simple mat that looks nice in my kitchen. Amazing how hard it was to find a simple, non decorative mat. But this is perfect.

Great dog placemat
This works very well for containing water slopped by our golden retriever. We’ve tried other mats, but, with them, always had to clean up the water on surrounding floor. Somehow this contains the water much better and always manages to look neat. We got the large size.

Not as functional as I had hoped it would be.
This is a decent mat for pet bowls, but my major complaint is it is not a non-slip mat. My very heavy water bowl doesn’t slip, but my dog’s food bowl slides all over the place. The solution was to place the mat next to a wall that functions as a back stop. Also, be sure to pull out your tape measure before ordering. The large is quite small and barely accommodates two bowls.

Great dog placemat!
This is the perfect placemat for my German Shepherd Dog! I feed her in a glass bowl, so this keeps it from sliding away on her. The other spot is perfect for their water bowl. It is a nice size, not too big or small. The bowls I use are about 8 inches across and fit the spots perfectly.

A lovely gift for a new pet owner.
I love the mat. It’s my second one. The first I ordered as a gift for a friend who had a new puppy. This blue mat is so easy to clean. Just wash if dirty or shake out if crumbs get on it.
It’s a great gift but even better for my new dog, Lottie, a 5 year old standard poodle!

Does the job, but it is more indoor.
Not as heavy as the previous one we got from LLBean several years ago. Could blow away in the wind if outside. Rubber is not as thick or weaving as tough. Use it for cats.

Love this dog bowl mat!
We are fans of the water hog mats. Needed to replace existing pet bowl mat so we purchased the water hog dog mat. We bought it in the smaller size but knew immediately when it arrived that despite the measurements given in the catalog, needed to exchange for the larger size. We could not be happier with it. Just for reference, we have a 50 pound labradoodle. Truthfully, I would say that unless you have a very small dog, I would recommend the larger size.

Good mat
I have had this dog mat for about 6 months now and it has been great. It looks clean and polished, does not show dirt, and everything stays in place (the mat itself does not budge and the bowls stay on top without moving around). I have the larger size and the stainless bowl is about 8" diameter.

Great Mat for One and Multiple Dogs
I previously had the Recycled Waterhog Personalized Dog Mat. I was very happy with it. The new one is just as great as the original. The large size fits two food dishes (for both of my dogs, as well as a water dish. There is no mess on the surrounding floor as the map keeps everything on it.

Very hard to clean
We have 2 golden retrievers and have purchased several of these mats in the past. Even with a power washing, shedding, dirt, etc… will not clean off. Unfortunately we do not recommend.
