Recommend buying one waist size smaller
I’m a former men’s clothing buyer. Some reviews say that the waist is two inches larger than marked. The pants measure true to size when new or just washed. Because of the stretchy fabric they do expand two inches after wearing them for a short time. I tried buying a pair that were two inches smaller in the waist. That didn’t work for me because the pants sizing was too reduced in the seat and thighs. I then tried one waist size smaller and that works the best, at least for me. This applies to both unlined and lined. Otherwise, they are very good pants. I like that all pockets have zippers for security, the fabric is rugged and washes and dries well, and that the silhouette looks good.

Good as travel pants
I have purchased three pairs of these pants and like them a lot. I use them for travel. They have two big advantages. First, they have four zippered pockets that protect me from pick pockets. Second, they are mainly nylon and can be washed out in a hotel sink and will dry overnight. Jim D.

Great Hiking and Travel Pants
I love these pants. I use them for travel, outdoor activities, and fishing in the summer. Plenty of room in the hips, thighs and legs. I am a bigger guy, and I like a little extra room for movement (6 ft. 245lbs). If you want tight fitting yoga pants rebranded as hiking gear, look somewhere else. Material is durable and stretchy. They look nice enough that you can use them for dinner at a nice restaurant. Then wear them the next day backpacking. I have taken these pants to Africa and Europe. They are light weight and compress down pretty well. Recently, I was able to pack 3 pairs of Cresta pants along with all of my gear in a backpack for a 3 week trip to Africa (Air France allowed 12 kg aka 26.4lbs). Backpack was from another company that rhymes with Fotopaxi.

Flexible and versatile
I love these pants. They are light, cool and feel good on the skin. The stretch allows free movement. The colors are kind on the mind. They are equally as good for hiking as they are for doing yoga, at the gym, or just lounging around the house. They are also fine for casual evening wear. I have three pairs. The way clothes change, it’s good to stock up because they often change the following year.

Ugh
They’re too expensive for the light material they’re made of AND the length isn’t even close to being correct. Pant legs are a full 4” longer then they should be despite ordering my size and saying they’re my size on the label. Had to pay to have them hemmed.

Love them except...
I love the pants as they're very comfortable. Love the stretch material and the looks of them. Only thing I dont like is that they slide down my hips due to the material being so slick. It lacks friction to hold to my shirt. Trying different stretch belts to accommodate.

Comfortable, sturdy hiking pants. Wore them on a hike in Grand Teton and liked how easy to get used to while on the hike.

Old Reliable
Water-resistant Cresta Hiking Pants are perfect for foreign travel in temperate climates. Zippered pockets resist loss from carelessness or pickpockets. The pants are quite suitable for dinner at a nice restaurant even after a day’s touring hither and yon. Bean’s waistband has expanded to accommodate thick shirts. So, a 36” waist is more like 37.5”, or so it seems. You can downsize but then you might discover too many delicious foods in your travels to forego.

Waist is too large
I currently have two pairs is different colors sized 34 waist and 32 inseam. This pair is marked 34 waist /32 inseam, however the waist is actually too big and probably two inches larger than the 34 inch waist of the pants that I currently have. The inseam and quality of the pants were as good as expected.

Great pants, run a little big.
Comfortable, durable, reliable, and good-looking. I ended up buying a size smaller than usual, both waist and length, but with that change it fit well.

Nice Pants!
Comfortable pants that look very nice and are casual, but can be worn on somewhat dressier occasions. Wish the leg bottoms were less baggy, but I understand they are that way for hiking boots.

Great for day hikes or camping.
Bought them for a hiking trip to Iceland and they worked out perfectly. While they are water resistant, it’s more like it would keep the dew off, than stave off any precipitation. That said they dry really fast! Honestly, I love them.
