Made from waterproof-breathable 2.5 layer TEK fabric, this light, long rain coat was designed to repel the elements and look good doing it.
We made this jacket from our waterproof TEK 2.5 layer fabric that actively repels wet weather while maintaining lightweight, breathable comfort. Then we added design lines in just-right places for a flattering look and a cinched waist for even more style.

Nonfunctional zipper
I thought that this rain coat looked quite stylish. However it did not function because the zipper did not zip up or down. It came stuck and stayed stuck.

beautiful lightweight rain jacket long enough to keep me dry. beautiful colors (I bought all colors!) great quality, wonderful colors and perfect for warmer weather rains. they are quite comfortable and don't make you overheat like some raincoats do.they do run a wee bit small but still a great buy.

nice coat, but it is cut too small to layer over clothing. The arms are too short and narrow, and the shoulders need to be roomier. Returned.

Perfect for me

Sheds Oregon horizontal rain.
I bought this rain coat for its length and weight. I bought an extra large so that I could wear a light fleece underneath. It fits well except for tightness in the shoulders. An even larger size would have been too large. Because it is perfect for Oregon weather I decided to keep it.

PNW tested and approved
New to the PNW, a rain coat was a must. I have been putting this to the test with daily rain. It dries fast between wears, keeps me dry, and I'm able to sit on benches ect. And not worry about my pants getting soaked with the long coverage. Overall, will be buying again when this one dies years down the line.

Not Waterproof
I liked the color & loved the styling and bought this coat over a year ago. Now I'm back to LLBean looking to purchase a really waterproof raincoat. I was totally soaked all the way through during a downpour in Oslo this fall. It did not shed water. I don't want it to get wet again.

Nice Length
Nice styling and longer length. I purchased for several trips I have planned and I liked its packability. I have not worn it yet, but was drawn to it for its breathability, length and claim of being waterproof. I am 5’6”, 132lbs and the size small fits very well. Roomy enough to wear a sweater underneath foradded warmth.

Just want to ad...the sleeves are working for me, but could be a bit roomier, especially in the top sleeve area. The net vent on the back is great,
I like it, but it means I need thicker layers underneath for warmth...so roomier sleeves added to this design, and I would buy it
again and again. I like it that much.

A keeper
Have been looking for a long time, for a raincoat to replace my llbean raincoat purchased about 20 yrs ago. This Meridian is about the same light weight, which I like. The large fits me well, which is the size I usually order for upper body. It is true that it is not lined, but I would not call it "cheap" construction. I have been sewing for 65 years and would call this nice construction of an
unlined garment. The zipper is a bit stiff, but I just had to get it lined up right and then after I worked it a few times, it got quite a bit better. I am keeping this raincoat and wearing it without any cinch in the waist. I like a roomy fit. Have not had it out in a rain storm yet, but gave it a small test in the kitchen sink. The water beaded up and rolled off the nylon fabric. If I find it is not waterproof I will be back to complain about it. I did wear it around for a bit and the fit is comfortable.

Extremely disappointing!
I was searching for a professional-looking, trench coat style rain coat for work and thought I found it. I've been so pleased with my previous outerwear purchases from L.L.Bean. But I was surprised when this arrive in a tiny envelope. . .and even more surprised when I opened the package and saw it. Very thin, very cheap-looking. If you want something resembling those emergency ponchos made to stash in your car's glove compartment, this is your coat. BUT if you're looking for something worth $169.99 that will look polished and professional, this is not it. I'm sending mine back. So disappointed!

Lightweight Rain Coat
I like the fit. I wore it in the rain with a sweater under it. Very comfortable and it kept me dry. I do have one complaint, and that is the zipper which does not move as easily as it should. Suggest a better quality zipper be used in this coat.

Terrible zipper!
I bought this for traveling. It would have been perfect but the zipper has gotten stuck (really stuck) almost every time I unzip it. At the TSA checkpoint in an airport, I had to climb out of it because the zipper was so stuck! I’m taking it back and I’m very disappointed. Everything else about it was great.

I couldn't even try the coat on. The zipper got stuck and I couldn't get it apart. I am not interested in hassling with a zipper every time I wear the coat. Very disappointed and will be returning it.

Travels Well, Does What You're Looking For
Bought as a water resistant layer for a trip to the Scottish Highlands, and it was perfect. Really enjoyed the fit and the option to cinch the waist, especially. The only other jacket I was considering similar to this is made by Kühl and double the price. No regrets choosing this!

TRULY WATERPROOF!
I bought the XS Petite black coat to wear while vacationing/touring in Ireland during the last week of June and into July. Boy, am I glad I did! It rained 18 out of 19 days and the coat kept me dry through all of my sightseeing. It packs up small too! I was happy for the zippered pockets. Would love to see this made in additional colors!

Water proof, runs big
I got this coat in xs, I usually wear a small to medium, but this jacket fits perfectly. It is slightly stretchy and water PROOF. It’s super lightweight and I love the full yellow color. It reaches to just above my knees, so gives me nice coverage. I absolutely LOVE this rain jacket.

Best garment I bought for travel!
This coat is the best for traveling. It’s lightweight and easy to stuff into a backpack and waterproof. I appreciated the fact that it was longer than most packable raincoats I saw and that came in handy when I got caught in a couple of heavy downpours. Highly recommend.

Super raincoat!
This raincoat was wonderful on my trip to France. It kept me dry in rain and warm in wind. The best attribute was that it wasn’t hot or sticky feeling; it really did “breathe”! I rolled it up to pack and shook it a bit before wearing; it looked great. This was a really positive purchase, no regrets!
