Just What I was Looking For
Bought this for a trip to southwest UK this spring. Fits well and should help keep me dry in rain and drizzle. I like that it has a lining for extra warmth. I'm 110 lbs and 5'3" and normally wear a womens size XS or S, and this kids XL size fits well. Slightly long in the sleeve but it's not a problem. Nice colors and not too juvenile.

Would Purchase This Product Again
So far, so good. Our 8-year old grandson chose the colors. (He's a colorful kid.) Fit is just a little large, but that's what we wanted. Great over layers in the cooler weather we experience a good part of the winter. Didn't give it a five-star because we want to make sure it continues to provide rain protection for a while. We've had difficulty with the lining wearing out with some jackets he's had.

Solid rain jacket
I haven't tried this in wet weather yet but the Trail Model has been my go to for years-- they last several seasons. I prefer the velcro cuffs of the past (this is elastic) and the sleeves seem shorter. The other difference is the embroidered logo at the chest. Otherwise, it looks to be a solid wet weather jacket.

Perfect Protection
Waterproof jacket that fits well over hoodie. Thin and not particularly warm but perfect for Spring, Early Fall protection from blustery, rainy weather. Well made, with beautiful shade of blue and green…the two colors I chose for my grandsons.

Good as a backup?
We liked this jacket for a while, until we had we used it one morning walking to school in the rain. By the time we got to school the outside fabric was SOAKED, he was mostly dry underneath, but then he had a soaking wet jacket to hang up in class and put back on for recess. The outside fabric doesn't repel water at all, just soaks it in. We'll use it to stuff in a backpack when the walk to school is dry, but could expect rain later. Now we need something that actually repels water.

This raincoat does the trick-- it's the right price point, he likes the way it looks, and it stuffs easily into his backpack for camp/school. Has a roomy fit, which is good because it means we'll get a few years out of it.

These jackets are rugged
This is a repeat in a larger size for grandson. I have bought this style in 4 different sizes, colors for my 4 grandchildren. For 2 granddaughters, when one outgrows their size, there is usually another one that will fit. In grandson's case, he wasn't interested in pink; thus this order.

Runs Small
This jacket is great quality and packs down to be nice and portable, so easy to keep in the backpack just in case. My only issue is that it runs really small. My son is almost 13 and I ordered the size 14-16 thinking he’d have plenty of room to grow. But it fits him perfectly now, with no room for growth (and he’s growing a lot right now, and probably will be for a while). I returned it and ordered the size 18, so hopefully that will be a better size.

Skeptical
This looks like a great raincoat but I’ve only given it 4 stars because we haven’t used it in the rain yet. The fabric is really, really thin so I’m skeptical, but I will update once it gets used. I do like how the hood comes out from the face a lot. I wish LL Beam would figure out that a raincoat should keep your face dry too. Their hoods are usually so shallow. If you have long hair, it’s awful!

High quality and nice fit
My daughter lost her other L.L. Bean rain jacket at school this year that was sort of the “standard model”. We bought this one on our way to hike in the White Mountains and we’re very pleased with the purchase. She loves it and it appears to be a high-quality, legitimate outdoor wear for a kid. It kept her dry and broke the wind on a rainy and blustery day at high elevation.
