Great Value
This is my first fly fishing outfit. It is working out great. I got it to fish ponds and small lakes for bass and panfish. I will eventually go after some trout with it. Easy to use right out of the package.

Great first combo for me!
After watching lots of videos and researching different fly equipment I finally began putting my outfit together. The rod and reel performed great for me on my first stream experience. My casting improved quickly and i was able to easily overhand and roll cast my nymph rigs with accuracy. The drag seems to function very well and i feel like i got a good deal with this combo. Will be buying more fron LL Bean in the future!

Nice basic setup
This is the third Quest fly rod combo that I've bought over the past 10 years. I find that it is perfect for getting started in fly fishing. It has all you need (except a fly). And its lightweight, well built and of good quality. Also really appreciate the rod-on case, that provides good protection. Really nice not to have to remove the reel every time I want to put the case on.

Solid Setup
I was attracted to this rod because it's a two piece. Less to put together in a world of four piece rods.
Took this on a weekend trip and was very impressed. The case is great quality as are the rod and real. I was a little less impressed with the fly line but for the price of the set the overall value is excellent.
Highly recommend some anyone just getting into fly fishing or as a solid backup rod.

Quest fly rod
Ive had much better . not sure yet if its the line that comes with it or both that and the rod . the rod is heavy but may cast better with a better line . but as it is . not much to talk about , the rod is very heavy one way or the other .

Quest rods
My only grip about the Quest rod is your not making anything under 9 feet. I would not start my grand kids off with a nine footer. I own 4 Quests and 2 Stream lights. I love my 8'0 5 wt. but my all time favorite is my 7'-6 " 5 wt. Quest rods are a great value and a good rod.
