We wanted to create a classic cable-knit sweater that could be worn in any season. So we designed ours with premium cotton yarns to make it as comfortable as it is versatile.

Cool design & breathable
The issue I often have with thick sweaters is when I go anywhere indoors I'm immediately too warm. This sweater doesn't have that issue. It's cotton and super breathable, which means it's not that warm but if you don't plan on this being a warm layer then it's perfect to wear indoors.

Really Nice but Not "Fitted" Enough For Me
This sweater is beautiful and well made, but it was too big for me. It says it is fitted - and it might be compared to other LL Bean sweaters, but it was too wide around the midsection. I'm 5'7, 140, and a runner. I guess I needed an extra small. My loss; I loved this sweater.

Poor Construction
Looks great but has some loose knitting. I wore a white shirt under to test it and you can see gaping holes through the sweater due to loose knitting. What a shame I really liked the knit pattern and design of this sweater too. Returned it

He now complains he's too hot outside lol
My ex works outside year-round and needs warm layers. This year he wanted one of these sweaters so i got him one. Lol he came home and complained jokingly that unless its 30 degrees or under that he can't wear it because he gets too hot and sweaty and has to take it off

not a great sweater
Bought for my husband for Christmas; probably called a "fisherman" sweater because it feels like fishing nets that were wet and line dried. Material was SO rough and felt like it would be uncomfortable. Additionally, though the weave is nice-looking, you'd have to wear an undershirt since you can see through it in areas on front. He never tried it on because this one went back, but it looked huge as well. Thankfully I found 2 other sweaters on LL Bean I then purchased that he loves.

Very heavy sweater

Exactly what I wanted. Fit, length, color and, best of all, the weight. It's heavy. Comfortably so. Only negative is it takes so long to dry after washing so I have to wait to wear it again. Lol. And excellent quality.

Looks Beautiful...Feels Terrible
I'm a woman who loves men's clothes for their price and quality. I was super excited for this sweater and thought with the price it would be even better than the other fisherman sweater...I was very wrong. It's extremely stiff and not super comfortable to lounge in. I guess I will be returning and getting the cheaper option since I got my boyfriend that one awhile back and it's super comfy.

Most "classic" of all the versions available
In the store I was able to try on a number of different versions of this sweater, the ones marketed to women, the ones marketed to men, the ones with the side zipper, etc. This one was the most ‘classic’ version that fit the best (usually wear a 20/22 women - bought a large in this version) and that was the traditional cotton I was looking for.
