We wanted to create a classic cable-knit sweater that could be worn in any season. So we designed ours with premium cotton yarns to make it as comfortable as it is versatile.
Our favorite part of this Irish-inspired fisherman's sweater is the authentic stitchwork - it gives it rich texture and a timeless look. We also love how the all-cotton construction easily spans the seasons and layers comfortably.

Staple Piece In Any Man's Wardrobe
The fit is spot-on. I'm 6'2 and 225, I wear XL in t-shirts and the regular XL fit me perfectly. I do opt for a t-shirt under this sweater as the wool is naturally a bit scratchy. No complaints in materials or craftsmanship, it's just a beautiful piece that I'm sure will last for years.

Boyfriend wanted the Chris Evan’s knives out sweater. He’s a 6’5” guy so finding a sweater that would fit was a beautiful challenge. He loves this sweater! It is everything he wanted and it fits perfectly. The sleeves are long enough and the torso doesn’t ride up.

Tall sizes are not really “tall”
It is a nice sweater, but it is not “tall”. I am 6’4” and 185lbs and tried several sizes, but none had long enough arms or back. I’ve said in my review that it runs “small” but I really mean that it runs “short”.

Fantastic Sweater! Love the Color!
I was weary ordering this sweater in XL-Tall because it's a "Slim fit," and I have a bit of a belly. The sweater turns out to excellently! No need to bump up to XXL-Reg. It is snug, as the product description says, but not tight.
I give it 4 stars, rather than 5, because I can see my shirt through the weave of the seater. I would prefer a tighter weave. However, it may be that this looser weave helps when going indoors, where the temp is higher. This is not a layer you'd peel off, unless you're in your own home. I would love to see more color options, like LLB's other Irish Fisherman styles offer!

Very Comfortable! 6'3" 250lbs XL-Tall
I was weary ordering this sweater in XL-Tall because I have a bit of a belly. The sweater turns out to excellently, even with my long arms and trunk! No need to bump up to XXL-Reg.
The casual fit makes it feel roomy, but not loose. I just wish I could machine dry it.

Very disappointing
I have a Signature fisherman's rollneck from years ago that is an excellent sweater. Soft, durable, washes well. This newer crewneck version is so disappointing in comparison. I ordered the olive green. At first touch, the material is very rough. Another reviewer said it felt like fishing nets knitted together and I couldn't agree more. The yarn is stiff and almost "crunchy". The weave is so loose that I cannot imagine the sweater making it through the day without become completely shapeless. I am so disappointed as the olive green color was striking and the my previous experience had been so positive. This one is going right back.

Not good at all
This version of the fisherman’s sweater is no good. This one has loose wrists, baggy fit, scratchy fabric, and loose weave. You can see the shirt under it. The speckled other version is much better. The speckled version is a better fit, better wrist cuffs, softer fabric, and is overall so much better. Not sure why they’d make them different in terms of quality.

Very happy
This turned out to be a really nice sweater. It’s cotton but quite heavy and warm without the itch of wool. Appears to be extremely well made and fits perfectly. I wear a 41 regular sport coat and the medium was exactly the right size. I love the color because it’s different but works with a lot of things. Seriously considering getting second one in a different color.

Cotton Fisherman's sweater
I absolutely love this thick cotton sweater. I am a small woman (5' 115#), and ordered the Mens small.... it is perfect. Loose enough for a long sleeve shirt underneath, but not too loose. Love it!!!

Rough Material
I was very disappointed with this sweater. The material is very coarse, heavy, and not very densely weaved. It's not at all comfortable. The waist has no elasticity and simply hangs shapelessly. Will be returned.

I like it, but...
I like the overall look and color of this sweater, but it's rough...almost scratchy to the touch. It's also a bit lumpy. I was hoping it was a sweater to throw on, but it definitely needs a long sleeve T or shirt under. I'm hoping that after a wash that will fix itself. We shall see.

The SIZE this year is over 2" smaller size difference!! Poorer quality and am unable to wear a large, even after a weight loss after first sweater purchased.

Cool design & breathable
The issue I often have with thick sweaters is when I go anywhere indoors I'm immediately too warm. This sweater doesn't have that issue. It's cotton and super breathable, which means it's not that warm but if you don't plan on this being a warm layer then it's perfect to wear indoors.

Really Nice but Not "Fitted" Enough For Me
This sweater is beautiful and well made, but it was too big for me. It says it is fitted - and it might be compared to other LL Bean sweaters, but it was too wide around the midsection. I'm 5'7, 140, and a runner. I guess I needed an extra small. My loss; I loved this sweater.

Looks great but has some loose knitting. I wore a white shirt under to test it and you can see gaping holes through the sweater due to loose knitting. What a shame I really liked the knit pattern and design of this sweater too. Returned it

It looks like a Fisherman's style sweater

He now complains he's too hot outside lol
My ex works outside year-round and needs warm layers. This year he wanted one of these sweaters so i got him one. Lol he came home and complained jokingly that unless its 30 degrees or under that he can't wear it because he gets too hot and sweaty and has to take it off

Not worth the price
Had this sweater for less than a month and only worn twice, and the underarm has a huge hole from steams coming apart. Very poor construction and not worth the money.
