Disappointed
I was really looking forward to these gloves, they were sold out last year but I was able to get a pair this season. I ended up being extremely disappointed. I wear a size size and this pair has way to much space in it, so much so I can nearly fit a pair of liners in them. The lining is not nearly as warm as my pair of docker gloves that were half the price. I love all my LL Bean clothing, they are warm and comfortable and I expected the same with the gloves but it was not the case.

Inferior to my old ll bean deer skin gloves
I bought these almost two years ago in January 2024. They are significantly inferior to my old LL Bean deer skin gloves with rabbit fur lining. These newer gloves are terrible in my use case: damp cold 40-45 degree weather. It’s almost like these gloves pull the heat out of my hands vs keeping them warm. My old gloves were perfect for a long walk with the dog or standing for hours on the sidelines of my kids sports (sports fields always seem to be in the low damp area near a creek). I really miss my old gloves. My late wife gave them to me and they lasted over 15 years. These seem durable but what good are they if my hands are cold? Regret buying them.

The winner over three others I tried.
Fit is spot-on. They're relatively warm for casual wear in winter -- though perhaps not for extended periods of work outdoors at temperatures in the teens F. I searched all over for leather gloves to replace a pair I'd had for about 10 years. These won out over three other pair I tried.

Useless for outdoors
I purchased these for my husband for the purpose of shoveling outside. He says his hands are 'freezing' when he wears them, and he claims these gloves are only good for driving (but since he doesn't wear gloves in the car, these are useless to us).

Well fitting Leather gloves at last
I initially ordered a men's small and one medium for my husband and I. Both were too big, so I returned them and reorderd . The two pair of women's medium fit us each. It is a little hard getting them on at the wrist, but otherwise they fit well. I assume the wrist will be fine once they are worn a few times. They seem well made and are true to the standard size guide for gloves. They are longer at the wrist than most women's, for which I am very glad as most women's gloves are too short and leave the wrist exposed. The fingers are just right. I love the leather.

Best Winter Gloves I have found.
After struggling to find great quality winter gloves that fit, these gloves are awesome. The XL fits perfect (index fingers 3.75 inches long, hand width at the knuckles of 9 inches). The leather is soft but beefy and the lining is flexible but substantial. Very warm and functional. Love these and may order another pair to keep as a spare.

Deerskin gloves? Maybe not.
I was given a pair of LL Bean's deerskin gloves a year ago as a holiday gift. They were supple and smooth and smelled like leather. Sadly I lost that pair and quietly ordered a replacement pair of the same LL Bean deerskin gloves. The gloves came and they look the same and fit the same. But the similarities end there. They do not smell like leather, they are not supple like leather, they are not soft like leather, and when I thwack them together they don't sound like leather. I have not taken them in to a leather store for a professional look-see, but I'm pretty sure I didn't get a pair of deerskin leather gloves, but got a fakey knock-off leather-like material instead.
I am not happy with this purchase.
They will keep my hands warmer than no gloves, but I suspect they'll start to peel and degrade after a season of use.

Gloves are very well made and fit true to size. However the reason for the low rating is because they are advertised as being very warm with fingertips that keep you warm. However I found the complete opposite. Gloves are lightweight and not fit for colder weather and the fingertips get cold very quickly. But if you are looking for a lightweight glove that are very well made then these are for you.
