Redesign has ruined fit
I have several pair of these shorts purchased 2 years ago, they are excellent in every aspect. Last week i purchased 2 additional pair expecting to be happy with the new shorts, i am not. The cut of the shorts has been changed in at least 3 ways. They are 1-There is no room in the seat to bend over. Doing so pulls the back of the shorts down. 2- The pockets are so tight you can’t get your hands into the pockets. 3- The elastic in the waist has been reduced and now has very limited stretch. Just to reiterate, my original shorts fit and perform perfectly. I suspect these changes were made to reduce cost of manufacturing, you guys made a big mistake.

Continues to be a good design, but WAY too long!
LLBean used to have a version of these shorts that was 5" shorter and less baggy. I thought I'd give this new version a try. Bad move.
I'm 5'9" and slender. This new version hangs on me like I'm seven years old and wearing my dad's shorts! In the photo you can see the previous version (maroon) on top of the new version (blue). It's crazy how long they are!

Did not realize from name they are swim trunks
Bummed out to find they are swim trunks. I thought they were "active shorts". I needed to click on and read every line below the title. Irritating to have to cut the liner out. They are OK, but wish I'd got them in a non-lined version. They have lots of pockets and are well made. The string tie at the waist band is pretty thin, and comes loose with my max pro -size iPhone in my pocket.

This is the only short I wear. It fits me perfect. I can hike, Pickleball and workout in the same short. If I choose to swim I can. Many pockets make it very funtionable. Bring back the tan color.

Quick drying swimsuit
These shorts are lightweight and are used for swimming. They dry quickly and are very comfortable. I am tall so I like the 10 inch inseam. I have 5 different colors of these in the XL size as I like the loose fit.

Things have changed and not for the better
There was a time when you could count on these great shorts to be consistent. Not so much anymore! Length varies, waist can be loose or tight, and even material is variable. And what happened to the khaki color?
