Preferred lunch box
I prefer the shape of this lunch box over others because it fits bunches of small food containers in a stack that is not upside down or sideways. Food looks appetizing this way.

Great for old people as well....!
I'm a 66 yr old woman who uses this for a small lunch when I go to a craft sale or on a local ride so I don't need to purchase food when I'm out. I put a cold pack in it and it holds me just fine for the time I'm out of at least 4 hr. There's room for extras in this as well, ie. napkins, condiments, etc.

Handle broke after 6 weeks

Good item; Handle ripped
My son carried this for lunch for about a month and a half before the top handle ripped out on one side. We are just going to use the shoulder strap to carry as we like the overall lunch box. We've used other lunchbox designs from LL Bean for years with no issues. However, on this one the handle is clearly a design flaw/weak point so please be warned.

Solid Lunch Box, bigger than I expected!
Solid lunch/snack box. Love the colors, and ability to customize. It's definitely bigger than I realized, and while it fits in the backpack I got, it's a tight squeeze. Might consider a smaller size if you're looking for a Kindergarten snack holder. Still, it's good quality and works great!

Convenient for toddlers and beyond!
I had purchased the same flip top lunch box (purple plaid) 5 or 6 years ago, and my daughter-in law borrowed it for her toddler when visiting us.
So I purchased a new lunch box for her, and was pleased to see it’s the same great quality and construction as my original one — and cost only a few more dollars!

Handle broke with first use, first day of school
My child was so excited for her new lunch box. With its first use, on the first day of school, the handle on the top came off at one end as she walked home from school.
So disappointed. LL Bean used to mean quality. Sending it back, requesting a refund.

This is a great lunchbox, with a way to keep the ice pack off the food, but keeping the co tents cool. The exterior doesn't sweat, and the options for carrying over the shoulder or by hand are welcomed features.

Perfect Size Lunchbox for Kids!
Grandson had this lunch box for two years using it only twice a week. Handle freyed from stitching which made me think it was a defective handle to pull out of the stitching when it waa seqm solid. Unfortunately tje supervisor did not understand construction or product development very well. I replaced the defective one myself as I love the lunchbox. It is roomy and holds the cold with an icepack in the lunchbox.
