Almost perfect
I like this robe but have a two suggestions! First I wish the flannel material was a bit thicker. Second I wish more attention was paid to the belt. The belt has no support and after washing has turned into a thin twisty string tie. Otherwise the robe is comfortable and well-sized and I’m enjoying it.

My favorite robes!
I love the flannel bathrobe from LL Bean. This is my 3rd one. They’re pricey, but after trying cheaper ones, I always come back to these. They get softer with washing…..and last quite awhile. I like the weight of the flannel- not too heavy to feel bulky, not so thin that it feels cheap. Thin enough to layer over other pajamas. My only complaint is that you have to expect it will shrink the first time you wash it. My recent purchase seemed to shrink more than the robes I purchased a few years back. The sleeve length is a bit too short now, but I will live with it. I’m 5’7 for reference.

Poor quality.
Pretty color. But overall length and sleeve length are 2-3 inches shorter then an identical, older LL Bean that I own. And the fabric is thin and flimsy.

The most comfortable bathrobe ever! The pockets are useful, and I like that it has a collar that can be turned up if I'm feeling bit chilly. I literally live in it all winter long when I am at home.

Super cozy, warm, and not overly heavy!
I wanted a robe that was warm and cozy, but not heavy and cumbersome. This robe delivered. The medium-weight flannel is so soft and warm. I like the rich colors, too. I bought a size up so that it would be big and drapey and don't regret it.

Great light weight Robe
Initially I was disappointed with how thin this robe was but I after I began wearing it I really liked the weight which is perfect for throwing on after a shower. I love how soft this robe is and the length is quite long so has great coverage for chilly winter mornings. The colors are very pretty too (light blues, gray).

I don't use this robe; it was a gift for my wife. She finds it comfy and warm without being really heavy. It is also ina a McCrae plaid which is her Scottish ancestor's tartan.

A good choice for a longer winter robe
Fits perfectly and stays closed with inside tie and separate belt. Size M is what I usually wear. Very warm, not bulky. Pretty plaid. When I'm wearing it I feel like my grandmother in a good way.

This Robe is Perfection!
I had been needing a new robe for years! I put off replacing my solid flannel robe from LLBean because I didn't think I needed a plaid robe. Well, I was so wrong. This robe fits me perfectly and the plaid is so flattering with my coloring. Every time I put on this robe, I feel like it's giving me a hug.

Not What it Used to Be
My previous one lasted 15 years, then I spilled bleach on the sleeve, so replaced it. The flannel robe is now a shadow of itself. It used to be very heavy, beautiful, long-wearing flannel. Now it is very thin and flimsy. Part of the side seam is starting to fray and come apart. So disappointed.

poor collar design & pilling issues
I did an initial review on this robe and said something to the affect that the collar was poorly designed and doesn't lay flat (curls up). I should have added that the material has started to pill around the neck and on the underside of the arms

Quality has declined considerably
I had a solid color flannel LL Bean robe that I LOVED for over 25 years, and I was so sad to get rid of it once it started falling apart. Looked for another solid fabrics flannel robe for years, and finally broke down to buy a plaid one, figuring the weight and warmth was more important than the colors. I was dismayed when I received this robe, because the weight of the flannel is probably half of what it used to be. The fabric of the collar does not lay nicely like it used to, and the cut of the robe seems to be more generous and shapeless than it used to be. I’m very disappointed in the quality.

Women's Flannel Robe
I received this robe as a gift. I love the material & plaid. However, I'm 5'5"& it is VERY long. So long, that I stepped on it going up stairs & tripped. I'll need to have it shortened to prevent another fall. This robe is best for tall women. It is not available in a shorter length. Beware if you use stairs.

My children bought this for me as a Christmas gift. I love it. I normally wear a small but am quite happy in a medium in this robe. I prefer my loungewear on the larger size. The indigo tartan is pretty in person and the flannel is lightweight but cozy!

As others have noted, this flannel is very thin compared to most. For the Florida winter it's perfect, but when I visit the northern states in winter I have a more substantial flannel robe. I'm 5'5" and this robe hits at high ankle. If you're not very tall, you might find it too long. The blue and red colors are very vibrant and the robe didn't shrink when I washed and dried it according to the directions. I'm pleased with it, but if you're looking for a heavy weight flannel this one isn't for you.

Thin and colors aren't as pictured
The weight of this flannel robe before washing is very light- feels like a summer wright robe.
And the colors of the MacRae Hunting Modern- are not as pictured. The pretty purple-y blue is not that cheery- the plaid while pretty is much darker than the picture.
Don't think the quality is up to the price. Honestly felt thicker flannel robes at Target.

Best robe good quality
This is the best robe! I have several others that I never use because they are uncomfortably bulky. We don’t live in an arctic cabin, so I don’t need super thick. This is the thickness of a good flannel shirt, which is just right! I do wish it came all the way to the floor, but I’m so happy with the quality of the stitching and the look and feel of the material that I cannot complain! The colors are vibrant! It’s so soft!
