Replacing my 30 y.o. L.L. Bean anorak
I have had an L.L. Bean anorak for over 30 years, and while I can still wear it, it looks pretty "well loved". I saw the Mountain Classic and realized it was time for a new one! Love that it is a little roomy for a sweater underneath and the kangaroo pocket can hold most anything.

Excellent Purchase
I bought this jacket because I have the anorak insulated version and wanted one for the summer nights. I can honestly say that this is the yet another great purchase. It is not too heavy and extremely good at keeping out the wind and cold. With my insulated jacket, I have a size Small and it was big enough for another layer underneath. Since this is the lighter version, I bought the size down because I reasoned that it would be my only layer on. It fits comfortably and I've gotten many compliments on it. Highly recommend!

I live in this anorak
I cannot overstate how much I love this thing. It's true to size, and the material is great--lightweight and not clingy. To top it all off, it's a lovely color, and the blocking hits right at my waist, so it's also v flattering. Could not be happier, 1000/10 would buy again

Perfect jacket!
My daughter really liked my Anorak jacket, so I bought one for her in the olive & teal color. She loves it! The color combo is so pretty. We live on the coast, so this jacket is a must have. It is perfect for boating or if you need a little protection from a cool breeze. It fits nicely and is well made. The zip pocket is perfect for holding your cell phone.

Broke in the first five minutes of wearing it.
I was so excited to get this as a few friends of mine already have one. I love the color and the fabric, super lightweight and soft. However the pull ties on the bottom to cinch it broke on the first pull. I’m wicked upset because that’s one of the things I like to do with shells like this. I’m unsure if this is a common problem, but it’s unfortunate that it happened because I would really like to trust the quality of this brand since everyone I know loves it.

Runs big
I purchased the blue/green jacket in a medium and it was too large. I usually wear a medium or large.
I was able to get the red/blue color because they only had small left in stock. The small fit great.
I think it runs big. It's a very nice jacket and I ordered it because my daughter bought it and it looks great on her. Great quality, nice pockets, zippers and hood. You'll like it!

Cute and Amazing for the Rain
This is such a wonderful rain jacket! It left me just enough space to wear thicker layers (such as a sweater or a hoodie) underneath as long as it wasn't overly thick. The only things that stopped me from giving it the full 5 stars were that it collects cat hair and lint like crazy even after your first wash, the color rubbed off onto one of my backpack straps, and it's more fitted on the chest area than my arms so if I would've sizes up then the sleeves would've been way too big. Despite those things, I love the colors, I love the style because you don't see this kind of style in many places, I love that it actually protects you from the rain and keeps you dry, and i love that you can fold it within itself for easy storage. Overall, I would definitely recommend it. For reference, I am also between slim and of a slightly curvy body type and a 36DD.

Quality Product
Definitely fits true to size which is nice because I was really worried it would be too big or too small. I also really like the colors this comes in. I chose the nautical red and blue! I can’t wait to wear it on a rainy/windy day when hiking! Definitely recommend.

Great for walking in the woods
I’ve had anoraks before and loved them. This one was on sale, so I decided it was time for a new one. Great for walks on chilly days when a jacket would be too much. I love the big pockets. I returned a large because I felt like I looked huge! The medium was a better fit. A tiny bit snug around my bum (I’m very curvy), but I don’t mind.

It fits great and true to size...it's not too tight and can still layer underneath if needed.
I love the color block and the front zipper pocket.

My new favorite jacket
This jacket is so perfect for me in California. I need a windbreaker that is good for hiking and biking. This rolls up nice and small for cramming in my hiking pack once I get hot. I love the front pockets for when I jump on my bike to zip around a bit on my lunch hour. Material is soft and flexible and the cut is not restrictive. It is my new go-to and I love it.

Great fit, can't wait to try outside!
Really excited to have this for the springtime! Was nervous about the fit, but the sleeve and overall length are perfect. A little roomy around the midsection, which will work well for layering under.

Size DOWN!
This jacket runs VERY large (even though the description says it's slightly fitted), so I'd recommend sizing down. I usually get an XS and wound up going with XXS in this because I was absolutely drowning in the XS. I wish the sleeves were a smidge longer, but I can deal with it since the width is much more reasonable in the smaller size. Quality of the material feels great, but I've yet to test how much it really blocks the wind. Looking forward to spring/fall boat rides in this bad boy :)

Do not like the color block style!
I have two classic anoraks from years ago that held up nicely, but are starting to look a bit grungy and worn; and the elastic in the sleeves are worn out. I want to buy a new one, but I do not like the color block style! I just want a plain one colored anorak! Please give us a choice. 4 stars for the fit and durability.

Roomy
I ordered the large and it was way too big in the arms. I was afraid it would be too small with something under it so I kept it and ordered the medium which was fine. Nice length and a nice medium weight underlayer fits perfectly. So I returned the large. I think I'm ready for the Great Outdoors however long the virus lasts!
Peace!

Really nice fabric!
I live in the Pacific NW and really love the fabric of this jacket - it's not typical plastic rain jacket that makes me hot when weather is a mixed bag. I wear this to do yard work and walk the dogs and the pockets are very secure and huge. At 5"2" I usually wear petite XL in LL Bean coats. This time ordered regular XL because I wanted it a bit longer. I think the petite XL would have been long enough. May order another in a different color in the petite. For optical illusion sake,I would prefer the darker color on the bottom and lighter color on top. I see that they make this coat in a full zip version - that would also be nice for the days I don't want to pull my coat over my head.

Great jacket
Absolutely love this. It's a great length, true to size fit with room to layer underneath. The bottom has a drawstring but is not too tight when all the way out. It has a zippered pocket as well as a pocket underneath that. The hood totally covers my head and it has kept me dry.

So Versatile!
I own two of these and just purchased another to give as a gift. I bought the first one for a trip to SW England with my daughter last May. The weather was cool (but not as cold or rainy as I had expected), and the anorak proved to be good for whatever conditions we encountered on that trip. I especially appreciated it when climbing to the top of the high rocky cliffs on the incredible, dramatic Cornwall coast where it is almost always somewhat windy. It blocked the wind and kept me warm when the temps dropped into the high 40s or 50s with only a long sleeved shirt underneath. It is good for misty rain but is not water repellent in a hard rain. Also, it folds down well for packing and easily ties around my waist if the daytime temps become too warm no matter where I am.. I love the kangaroo pocket to hold my phone, keys, credit card, etc so when I am traveling and sightseeing I don’t have to always carry a backpack or purse.
It does not very often drop to freezing conditions where I live in coastal NC. I have found the anorak to be comfortable with just a lightweight shirt for walking my dog, gardening and most of my outdoor activities. It is roomy enough to wear a light sweater or sweatshirt underneath when it gets colder. If I were going to use it in colder conditions with heavier items underneath I believe I would go one size up, but the large (which is my usual size) works well for me in my climate. The petite is long enough to cover my hips and the sleeves are a good length for my shorter arms.
Lastly I love the colors that this anorak comes in and have gotten many compliments. I own the red with marine blue and the olive green with blue. I highly recommend this anorak for its comfort and versatility. The price is also good especially when it is on sale!

Too snug
I bought this to replace an older anorak I have which is also the pull-over variety. This one was a little too tight to comfortably put on and take off. I returned it. Nice colors and material, but a zipper on the side would make on and off a lot easier.

Nice, lightweight, packable layer. Wish the hood drawstring wasn't so obvious though. Just needs to be waterproof to be perfect.
