- Shell: 85% wool/ 15% nylon. Lining: 100% polyester.
- Dry clean.

Very warm, great fit!
These are very warm pants. The fit is spot on in the expandable waistband works as it should. The cut of these pants leaves enough room for some layers without being baggy Which makes walking in the woods, much easier and quieter. The only downside is the lack of any sort of slim cargo pocket.

Overall, very pleased with the pant. Warm, worn in 18* weather on stand. Very comfortable. I have one complaint, the first day I wore them the button on the left rear pocket fell off. Which surprised me as they seem to be well made.

These pants are incredibly comfortable, very warm yet breathable, extremely rugged, with very high quality construction. I was very pleased to discover they have a self-adjusting/stretchable waistband in the style of certain modern BDU pants I won't name because companies don't like that in reviews. My only piece of constructive criticism is that I wish they had cargo/utility pockets, but otherwise A+

Maine Guide Wool Pants
I bought these pants for WI whitetail rifle hunting. I was looking for a quality wool pant and found these and thought I’d give them a try. The pants are true to size and come with an elastic waist band. Pants are very roomy to get layers underneath plus do a great job at stopping the wind. I wish I would have found these pants years ago. My suggestion to improve the pants would be to add cargo pockets to each of the legs. I will be purchasing the jacket to match.

Nice pants
I wondered if these would cause itching in….. certain areas. However the lining inside makes this a non issue. They’re very warm, the only thing I’d add is I don’t like these with a belt but 6 button suspenders are the way to go. Carhartt is the way to go here.

Warm and comfortable
The fit is amazing without layering up perfect and when layering the stretch waist band adds that extra room. When it’s below freezing and wet out they are dry and warm. And now I have the guide parka when it hits the 20’s all I need is 1 layer underneath and I can sit all day.

60 year old Duck Hunter
I purchased these specifically to wear in cold weather duck hunting and under breathable waders. I found the "Comfort Waist" meant they were always too loose. I would prefer exact sizing and waist construct that can be altered by a tailor if necessary.
The I own an older pair of Maine Wool Guide Pants which I love. Unfortunately these do not reflect the same quality in material or construction. The wool is of lesser quality and the fit was uncomfortable.

These are very warm and they fit great. They are soft and very quiet. The only suggestion I would have is to add two more pockets and make them cargo pants. I wish I would have purchased these 40 years ago.

Quiet and warm
The pants fit great. very very quiet. Breathable on long hikes. warm. Only semi-complaint is that you can feel a slight breeze when the wind is blowing really hard. Strangely ,still very warm in the wind just can feel the breeze .

Exactly what I was after
I was nervous about purchasing online incase they were too small. The waist band stretches so they are forgiving. I am a 34/30 in jeans and bought these in 34/29 and they fit great. Wide enough for layers, super warm with the insulation. I wanted some classic wool pants for hunting that could keep warm like todays super expensive synthetic materials and these are just what I was after.

Best Wool Pants
These are the best wool pants I’ve worn yet. The insulation and wind stopper is the ticket. Fit was perfect. I wore these pants all day with the temperature around 0 and 20 mph winds and was comfortable all day. Fantastic pants!

Well made product, questionable design choices
These are good pants. The materials are nice and they elicit a lot of compliments. They're warm and have held up to a lot so far. There are two aspects of the pants I do not like: the fit is very wide and they have this weird expandable waistband that is really bulky and seems unnecessary. I am happy I got them, I just wish I could change a few things.

Top quality. Very comfortably with 3 pair of long johns and calf high heavy weight wool socks and pack boots. Fit over all gear nicely. Sat all day at 17 degrees and stayed warm.

Other reviews say their loud, and they can be. But if you’re wearing a base layer, you’re just as quiet without the liner as you are with. They’re incredibly warm as well. They’re a bit bulky but I’m sure once they’re worn in they’ll relax a bit.
