These men's handsewn moccasins are a customer favorite for their classic style and custom-made feel that only gets better with time.
In 1936 when Leon Leonwood Bean first introduced these shoes, he compared them to the unique comfort of a handmade Native American moccasin. That soft, custom-made feel is still apparent in each shoe sewn today.

Nice quality, but bad sizing...
Perhaps it's just the risk one takes with "hand-sewn" shoes, but the two shoes were significantly different sizes, to the point of being unwearable. As far as quaility goes otherwise, they seem to be very nicely made and were attractive. It was my impression that the shoes also ran at least one full size bigger than stated.

Nice Mocs
These shoes are well made but they run large. I take an 11 size shoe and this shoe was to large in my size. Even the 10 1/2 was too big. So I went down to a 10 and it fits fine. Any smaller and I wouldn't be able to wear socks with these shoes. I highly recommend them.

You can't get much better!
If you are looking for a moccasin to wear at camp and also out on the town for a casual dinner, then look no further. They may start off a little stiff, but as you spend time with them, they become buttery soft and comfortable as an old sweater. Just put a little boot grease on them for waterproofing and you are ready to roll. My last pair lasted over 20 years of almost daily use. Just buy them, you know you want them!

Why no longer available for women?
I have had a pair of these for many years and was looking to get a new pair to replace them only to find there are non in women’s sizes. When did this happen? Same for the blucher, that shoe no longer available for women. Good grief, LL Bean, bring item back in women’s sizes! Now my one ky hope is to find a second hand pair on an auction or other resale,site. Very disappointed…

Too big
I have bought this shoe before. They are the most comfortable shoes I have. I am wearing the soles out and wanted to replace them. I ordered a new pair. They look great however they run big. I ordered a medium width but they fit like wide width, they are too deep. I have a hard time keeping them on my feet. I’ve tried padding them up to no avail.

Horrible Quality Control!
These are perfect shoes in so many ways ... but their sizing is ridiculous! I measure a men's 9.5 but the size of the 9.5 shoe measures 12.5. Took the shoes I bought on line to the store and found the same issue. This is clearly a quality control issue which inconsistent with their branding. So why charge a premium price when you deliver a subpar product? BEAN FAIL!
