Rated 3 out of 5 by from Look nice, but they're tight Color/design & warmth level is good. However, they are quite tight, and I purchased a Large (recommended for Women's Size 10-12 shoe size), and I wear a Women's size 9 shoe. The material is rough textured and not very comfortable either. Have been washing them in cold water & hanging them to dry.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as before Not as comfortable as the previous version. I wish you would pick a design, a color and stick to it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So much worse than the older version! Please bring back the older version. These have less cotton, are scratchy and not soft at all, and the ribbing despite being looser actually causes indents and irritation to my skin. It is in every way worse quality than the older versions which I purchased nearly every year for well over ten years. Now I need to look elsewhere. I’m so disappointed that LLBean’s quality has been getting worse.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very thin and tight, not a true Ragg sock I've been buying LL Beans Cotton Ragg socks for 20+ years and every year they have gotten thinner. Unfortunately, this years socks cannot even be described as a ragg sock. These socks should be described as Ragg pattern dress socks. There is absolutely no cushion whatsoever. Very disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from bring back the older cotton ragg socks I agree with everyone else who wrote that the ankles are far too tight. I ordered size XXL because in the past the cotton ragg socks had not been large enough. Now they are a bit too large (I wear women's size 11 shoes) but the ankles are uncomfortably tight. I will not be buying another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You will want more! Super comfortable on my feet! Perfect for fall outings and cozy nights curled up on the couch. They also have held their shape well with mutiple washes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great socks! Iwear these around the house as my feet are usually cold. They're warm, cozy and wash well. I don't put them in the dryer as I like them loose around my ankles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed. Laundered with cold water and dried on extra low heat. Have not worn. So poorly constructed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5-star socks! Great socks! Bought these after loving the wool version, and they didn’t disappoint. Thick and cozy. Will be buying again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and Comfy These socks are warm and comfy, with just the amount of elastic in the upper to stay put without sagging or discomfort.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Red Ragg socks I was so excited to have red socks, but there is little stretch in the ankle and I can't get them over my heel. Hurts my arthritic hands. Disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy and durable My favorite cotton socks, good for all weather, subtle patterns, reliable

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Total disappointment! Not what is expected from "Bean". They are so tight that my ankles tingled when removed! Won't stretch out. Even air dried them over large tumblers and didn't help. Not soft at all. Only 65% cotton. They feel like plastic. Never been so disappointed. But they are pretty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable These socks are a bit thicker but soft. The knit holds them up without the tightness of an elastic. Slight shrinkage but they reshape easily, wet or dry. Washed in machine with warm water, line dry. I wear instead of slipper socks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grand Canyon Hikes Great fit! Hiked two trails at the Grand Canyon with no issues in any way. No need to change pairs, as the quick drying and wicking capability was fantastic!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from soft, comfortable, can be affected by holes my husband has 4 pairs & i have 2. they are soft & roomy. thickness does not interfere with shoes fitting. the only drawback is a tendency to develop holes from friction.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great cushioning on the feet but ankles too tight Ordered these Cotton Ragg Socks in the Navy blue combo color option, size Medium. The foot fits well, but the top opening of the sock is a little bit more snug than I like. I am using the socks, and hoping that it will stretch out a little and not constrict the circulation in my leg quite so much. A subsequent order that I placed was for the cotton ragg socks in the ivory / natural color, and I ordered both a medium and a large. The only thing larger about the large was the foot, which I think is too big for me. The ankle opening was not different at all. I don't have thick ankles or swollen ankles, but the constriction placed on my legs and ankles when wearing these socks might become a problem, which I cannot tolerate. The foot comfort is superior, but the leg comfort is problematic and could lead to health issues. I will use them carefully for short periods of time and hope that the opening stretches out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ragg Socks Good quality rag socks. Comfortable and reasonably warm. I wear a size 12 medium shoe and bought these in XL. I wouldn’t go smaller in my opinion. Although I don’t do much hiking anymore, I feel these would be an excellent choice to wear in hiking boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These Are a Poor Substitute LL Bean discontinued the packs of two rag socks that I wore for years!! Those socks fit well and were very comfortable and soft. These new ones are uncomfortably tight even in a large size and are expensive. They are awful!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ragg Socks Do The Trick These Ragg Socks are a great color (beige, brown, gray, and white specalled) that to with all my outfits, which are on the brownish side. They fit nicely, yet the cuff is too tight for me. I'd recommend them to someone who had VERY thin legs. I wish their cuffs were a little looser, as I wear diabetic socks to bed to give my legs relief from tightness. Otherwise they keep my feet nice and warm.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bird legs The socks are uncomfortably tight. I sized up thinking they might shrink since they are cotton. So, now I have socks that are a bit too big on the foot and very tight on the leg. This was the biggest surprise… I have very skinny legs….bird legs. It’s takes a minute to put to put the socks on. The color is great. The quality is good. BTW…. the socks don’t shrink! Not sure how to respond to how did it fit!!
